N. Elton Dry

Mr. Dry retired in 2008. Mr. Dry's practice for over 40 years was devoted to Intellectual Property Law, primarily litigation and licensing. He was also extensively engaged in providing expert testimony on patents, trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property licensing, and damages in patent infringement cases. Mr. Dry litigated complex patent, trademark, trade secret and non-competition agreement cases before juries and the bench in both federal and state courts; negotiated and prepared extensive licensing agreements in a wide variety of technologies; and prosecuted or supervised prosecution of patent applications in highly technical areas. Mr. Dry is a former adjunct professor of law (1989-1994) at the University of Houston Law School, where he taught a course on international patent and technology licensing. A member of the Licensing Executives Society for over 20 years, Mr. Dry devoted substantial time teaching licensing at the Society's seminars. He is a former Trustee of the Licensing Executives Society, was Chairman and Co-chairman of the Licensing Executives Society Seminar Committee from 1992-1994, and was Chairman of that Committee from 1999-2000.

Kristin K. Tassin
Managing Member

Ms. Tassin's practice is primarily devoted to Intellectual Property, business and contract litigation. Ms. Tassin also provides consultation and services to corporate clients regarding business contracts and licensing matters. Ms. Tassin has assisted with and tried complex patent, trademark, trade secret, business and contract issues in both federal and state court, as well as in arbitration. She is a founding member of the Computer & On-Line Section of the Houston Bar Association and was a Section Board Member. Ms. Tassin is a Houston Young Lawyers Association Fellowship recipient, co-founder and director of Father's Joy, a ministry for parents and prospective parents of children with special needs, and is a former chair of the Board for Friends of Rise, an organization that supports The Rise School of Houston. She is also a member of the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Texas Women Lawyers Association, Houston Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association and Professional Women's Fellowship Association. She also provides presentations, seminars, and CLE's related to special education law and advocacy. Ms. Tassin is licensed in both Texas and Louisiana.
