Michael Perez

Michael's practice has been devoted to litigation and representing businesses at state agencies, in court or in arbitration throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Mr. Perez’s extensive litigation background is now focused on surety and construction law and advising clients of creative and cost-effective business solutions while being a strong advocate for them on disputed matters in and out of court.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Perez was an attorney in a small boutique firm that represented small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in Texas nonsubscriber cases involving work-related personal injuries and catastrophic claims. Mr. Perez has completed international and commercial arbitration training from the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center at the University of Houston and has completed the 40-hour mediation training to receive court-appointed mediations. Mr. Perez is also collaboratively law trained through the Global Collaborative Law Council. Mr. Perez is a member of the Texas and Oklahoma Bar Associations.

Mr. Perez, in addition to his legal practice, is a graduate of Leadership Plano-Class 27 and has served on the Board of Directors for Plano Youth Leadership. Mr. Perez was also appointed by the Collin County Commissioners Court to serve on the Child Protective Services Board and has served as a Collin County Teen Court Judge.

When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fishing and cooking.
